CHICAGO, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- "What You Need to Know Now," the theme of the 2007 turnaround management Association Spring Conference, reflects a dynamic environment for professionals in the restructuring industry.
Changes in technology, recent interpretations of the new bankruptcy law, the distressed automotive industry and new financing options are the subjects of panels and keynote speakers during March 30 and 31 educational sessions at the Four Seasons Resort and Club at Las Colinas in Irving, Texas.
Keynote speakers on Friday, March 30, include Hon. Edward C. Prado, US Court
of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; Dr. Daniella Saltz, Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel of Ford Motor Company; and Kurt Eichenwald, best-selling author of Conspiracy of Fools: A True Story, a book about Enron's implosion.
Industry leaders will moderate sessions on Friday and Saturday on: -- Specific cases and interpretations of the new bankruptcy law amendments -- Technology issues for the restructuring industry -- Recent developments and rulings on liability issues for companies in the "zone of insolvency" -- Conflicts in second lien financing in the workout process In addition, industry awards will go to: -- Howard Brod Brownstein, CTP, a principal at NachmanHaysBrownstein Inc., Philadelphia -- Outstanding Individual Contribution Award -- Detroit, Florida and Australia TMA Chapters for exceptional achievements
